Don't expect J.J. back...
Mets Fever — ... before getting traded to the Mets. No way the Mets can consider bringing him back at either salary. And I’m sure Putz wants to close somewhere. Some team probably gets good value on a one-year deal with incentives for Putz, who can reestablish he’s healthy and set up a big deal next offseason. Considering Jeremy Reed should be nontendered, the lone player left with the Mets in 2010 after parting with seven players in the three-team trade may very well be Sean Green. source Daily News ...

Send J.J. away
theropolitans.com 11/5/2009 — If anyone thinks it’s a smart move for the Mets to bring back J.J. Putz and his $9.1 million option, they need to take all their Mets gear and light it on fire. Putz, who appeared in a mere 29 games for the Mets in an 11-player trade, was oft-injured and mostly ineffective.  He posted a ...

metsfever.blogspot.com 10/15/2009 — I'm in the minority on this one, I think it would be smart for the Mets to retain J.J. Putz. Here's the thing for me, there was a reason ...
